CANADA'S HIGHEST SPORTING HONOR

The Order of Sport Awards: Legacy Edition marks a milestone for Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. Taking place on November 4, 2026, this special edition celebrates seven decades of honouring Athletes, Builders and Trailblazers whose achievements reflect the very best of Canadians and the spirit of sport in this country.

This is a moment not only to recognize excellence, but to reflect on how sport in Canada has evolved—shaped by the people, movements, and ideas that have expanded its meaning and impact. Over the past seventy years, barriers have been broken, new pathways have emerged, and sport has become a powerful force for inclusion, reconciliation, social progress, and nation-building.

INDUCTION

Induction into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame is the highest level of sports recognition in Canada. Each year, a class of Canadians who have achieved the highest level of accomplishment in their sport and who have the purpose and passion to promote Canada’s shared values beyond their sport successes are officially inducted.
